Working Groups:

SIMPLE MAPS. Pages are made up but not yet printed, there is the possibility of printing within the next 4 weeks.

INSTRUCTORS' KIT. It is proposed (a) to print text for students (30-40 pages), (b) to have reproducable text for instructors and (c) a file of overhead slides.

Other items for inclusion:
Slides of features from different countries.
Sample base maps from different countries.
Comparison of base maps and survey.
Illustration of suitable photoplot terrain.

Courses 1986:

HUNGARY. Cancelled due to lack of support (2 participants). It seemed that cost was a major factor (accommodation + travel). FN/TB to discuss with Sarolta.

FRANCE. Base map prepared. Interpretation on the ground was most important. Representatives from Belgium and Spain might he included.

CANADA. A two-centre clinic between Montreal and Toronto was arranged with concentration on fieldwork. FN and RH instructors.

Courses 1987:

ITALY. Italian-speaking instructor essential. TB in charge.
AUSTRIA. Two courses planned. In spring, a complete course. In autumn. a course (meeting) in scribing - TB/RH instructors.

SWITZERLAND (INSTRUCTORS' CONFERENCE). To be linked with the WOC in France, possibly the weekend before the WOC. Location to be Magglingen to be confirmed. Programme to include standardisation of interpretation and checking the accuracy of the fieldwork.

Any Other Business:

DRAWING SPECIFICATIONS (English version) to be reprinted. FN to discuss with IOF Secretariat. Necessary corrections would be made. Comments to FN/AT as soon as possible.
One person should be appointed to collect corrections in the luture - to he discussed
at the next meeting.
