December 2-6, 2014 – Ghent and Brussels, Belgium The ICA Commission on Map Production and Geo-Business, the ICA Commission on the History of Cartography, and the Brussels Map Circle are organizing a joint international symposium entitled Cartography in Times of War and Peace. The organisers of the 26th International Conference on the History of Cartography (ICHC 2015), to be held in Antwerp (Belgium), 12-17 July 2015, announced the call for papers. Proposals are welcome on all aspects of the history of cartography, listed in the conference themes. Abstracts should be submitted no later than Wednesday 15 October 2014. Please, find more information on the conference website. Members of the Society are encouraged to consider the active participation in the conference.
The ICA Commission on Digital Technologies in Cartographic Heritage announced the 9th International Workshop on Digital Approaches to Cartographic Heritage to be organized with Eötvös LOránd University and held at the National Széchényi Library in Budapest, Hungary. This Workshop is addressed to scholars, researchers, map-curators, map-collectors, map-librarians, administrators, digital industry / market operators and students coming from different cultural and educational backgrounds
